Project Description

In support of the newly developed Kindergarten Math curriculum by the Ghana Education Service (GES), and as part of its larger mission of improving learning outcomes and developing global competitors, SEHP’s KG project is centered on demystifying math for children. This initiative is designed to serve public kindergarten schools across the country, through the training of kindergarten teachers on innovative and interactive teaching styles, and the distribution of textbooks, workbooks and teaching guides.

In July 2021, ten schools in the Akuapem North District, in the Eastern Region benefitted from this initiative. Fifty (50) teachers were trained and 6000 textbooks, workbooks and teaching guides distributed. With an average class size of 70 pupils per school, it is estimated that about 700 pupils will benefit from this first batch of distributions.

SEHP aims to serve 200 schools across Ghana over the next two years.
