Samira Bawumia Literature Prize

The Samira Bawumia Literature Prize is an annual literary prize for the best short fiction, poetry and non-fiction prose written by young Ghanaians living in Ghana. Launched in 2020 to encourage young aspiring Ghanaian writers to tell their stories and share their art with the world, the first edition attracted over 2000 entries on the theme, ‘Everyday Ghanaian Living’.  Of this number, the best 30 entries were curated and published in an anthology titled

‘All Ghana a Stage’, and all winners received prizes that included cash prizes, laptops and books.
